Preclinical study indicates significant improvement in walking quality in spinal cord injury model

Positive - NRX announced that animals treated with a higher dose of ExoPTEN showed significant recovery of motor function following spinal cord injury. Results demonstrated a clear dose-dependent improvement in mobility, and walking parameters, with no side effects observed at the higher dose. These promising preclinical findings support ExoPTEN’s potential as a treatment for acute spinal cord injury. NRX will continue optimizing dosing regimen, and manufacturing processes, while preparing for further studies, and regulatory engagement, with the goal of initiating first-in-human clinical trials.

Positive - NurExone’s lead candidate, ExoPTEN, has demonstrated significant functional recovery and nerve regeneration in a preclinical model of facial nerve injury. These findings introduce a new potential therapeutic avenue for conditions such as Bell's palsy, Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, and other facial nerve disorders. This development marks NurExone’s third therapeutic focus, complementing its existing programs in spinal cord injury, and optic nerve regeneration. We believe NRX remains on track to initiate phase one clinical trials within the next 12 months.

Announces U.S. uplisting intention, and closes $2.3M private placement

Positive - We believe NRX is on track to enter phase one clinical trials within 12 months. Last month, the company completed a preclinical study to support its application for an Investigational New Drug (IND) designation, a necessary step before initiating human clinical trials, for its ExoPTEN treatment for acute spinal cord injury (SCI). ExoPTEN has received orphan drug designation from the U.S. FDA, and the European Medicines Agency (EMA). We note that there is currently no cure for SCI.
