The fund is an index tracking fund, where individual components are selected from the Solactive GBS North America Large & mid-cap Index . The investment objective is to screen out companies with poor ESG values from a universe of mid- to large-cap stocks within the North American equities space. The surviving universe is then scored using a multi-factor criteria (average of the individual momentum, value, and quality scores) and a carbon intensity criteria. Companies that fall under the bottom quartile of both criteria are excluded and the rest are included in the underlying index. Each component is weighted using their inverse-volatility over the three-year period on an individual basis and on a sector basis.
