Advances Kenbridge toward PFS; expands land package

FRC Analyst's Comment

TN is advancing multiple initiatives to unlock value across its portfolio of critical minerals projects targeting nickel, copper, cobalt, and silver in Ontario.

The company has engaged an independent engineering consultant to review the 2022 Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) on its flagship Kenbridge nickel-copper-cobalt project, and prepare a roadmap to advance the project to the Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) stage, a more detailed engineering and economic study.

TN has also launched a drill program to test the extension of mineralization beyond the current resource and upgrade lower-confidence inferred resources to higher-confidence categories, which, if successful, could improve the project's economics.

Kenbridge is located in an emerging nickel district alongside several advanced-stage deposits. Nearby, Talon Metals(MCAP: $905M) is developing processing infrastructure that could provide future processing synergies for Kenbridge and create strategic partnership or M&A opportunities.

Beyond Kenbridge, TN continues to expand its regional exploration portfolio. Most recently, it expanded its Turtle Pond project through additional claim acquisitions, and outlined an exploration program, including mapping, surface sampling, and potential drilling to evaluate historical nickel-copper targets.

Overall, we believe these initiatives strengthen TN's long-term potential by advancing its flagship project while expanding its regional critical minerals portfolio.

Announces a $1M financing

FRC Analyst's Comment

The company is pursuing a $1M equity financing, building on the $1M it raised last month. Proceeds will advance exploration at its flagship Kenbridge nickel-copper project in Ontario. This follows a successful drill program, that returned several high-grade nickel and copper intervals, while confirming that mineralization is continuous along strike, and at depth. We view the recent drilling as an opportunity for TN to upgrade its resources, boosting confidence in the project, and supporting stronger economics. TN is planning a second phase of deeper drilling, followed by a resource update, and an independent advanced economic study (pre-feasibility study).

The Kenbridge project is located in an emerging nickel district, alongside several advanced-stage deposits. TN’s shares are up 129% YoY. Nearby, Talon Metals (TSX: TLO), a major regional player, has seen phenomenal success, with shares up 633% YoY, pushing its MCAP past $1B.

Company Announcement

Strong drill results from the Kenbridge Nickel-Copper-Cobalt Project (Ontario)

FRC Analyst's Comment

TN has announced the results of the fourth and final drill hole from its recent program. The drilling aimed to test whether the deposit continues along strike and at depth, and to potentially upgrade some lower-confidence inferred resources to higher-confidence measured and indicated categories.

The fourth hole returned 24.6 m averaging 0.71% nickel and 0.56% copper, including 6.1 m averaging 1.17% nickel and 1.45% copper. These grades are on the higher end of the range for nickel mines globally, which typically operate between 0.2–1.0% nickel. The results suggest that mineralization is continuous, which could allow TN to upgrade resources. The company plans a second phase of deeper drilling, followed by a resource update and an independent pre-feasibility study. Last week, TN also completed a $1M equity financing.
