Description

Operating as a holding company, Truist Financial Corporation furnishes banking and trust services throughout the U.S. Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. The enterprise is structured into three main divisions: Consumer Banking and Wealth, Corporate and Commercial Banking, and Insurance Holdings. Customers have access to a variety of deposit accounts, such as interest-bearing and non-interest-bearing checking, savings, money market, certificates of deposit, and individual retirement accounts. Beyond these, the company offers a comprehensive suite of lending products, spanning personal loans, auto loans, bankcards, mortgages, home equity, and diverse commercial and small business financing, including real estate, floor plan, and mortgage warehouse lending. Its insurance segment delivers extensive coverage, from property and casualty, life, and health to employee benefits, workers' compensation, professional liability, surety, and title insurance. Furthermore, Truist provides wealth management, private banking, asset management, and investment brokerage services. For its institutional and corporate clients, the firm specializes in capital markets solutions, international banking, treasury and government finance, merchant services, and supply chain financing. It also extends corporate and investment banking, securities underwriting, and advisory services. Digital platforms facilitate convenient mobile and online banking. As of December 31, 2021, Truist operated a substantial network of 2,517 banking offices. Founded in 1872, the company maintains its corporate headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina, and officially rebranded from BB&T Corporation to Truist Financial Corporation in December 2019.
