The company also offers residential leasing options and supplies inverters manufactured by other companies. Its diverse client base spans individual residential owners, small commercial businesses, production home builders, investors, financial institutions, project developers, electric utilities, independent power producers, and both commercial and governmental entities. SunPower Corporation was founded in 1985, is headquartered in San Jose, California, and operates as a subsidiary of TotalEnergies SE.
