Serving primarily individuals, small to mid-sized businesses, and professional associations, it operates through a network of 237 branches and 333 ATM locations. The entity, which was established in Hicksville, New York, in 1859, previously operated under the name Queens County Bancorp, Inc. before officially becoming New York Community Bancorp, Inc. in November 2000.
