Structured as an income trust, Noranda Income Fund possesses an electrolytic zinc processing plant and associated infrastructure located in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, Québec. This facility transforms zinc concentrate into refined zinc metal and a range of valuable by-products. Its diverse product portfolio features jumbo zinc, an alloy custom-designed for steel manufacturers to enhance galvanizing line efficiency; zinc shot, used in the production of electro-galvanized steel for the automotive sector; zinc slab, a common commodity-grade metal; and granulated zinc, which is employed in creating fertilizers and reagents for the pulp and paper industry. The Fund also produces copper cake and sulphuric acid as co-products. Catering to a wide customer base, Noranda Income Fund serves markets in Canada, the United States, and globally. The entity was founded in 1961 and maintains its headquarters in Toronto, Canada.
