In addition, it provides Albiomin and Biseko to restore and maintain circulating blood volume; Cofact for the treatment of clotting factors deficiency; Fibrinogen to treat congenital fibrinogen deficiency; Trimodulin for the community-acquired pneumonia and COVID-19; and Pentaglobin to treat bacterial infections. The company was formerly known as Biotest Serum-Institut GmbH and changed its name to Biotest Aktiengesellschaft in 1986. The company was founded in 1946 and is headquartered in Dreieich, Germany. As of January 21, 2022, Biotest Aktiengesellschaft operates as a subsidiary of Grifols, S.A.
