Company Announcement

Announces a $4M private placement

FRC Analyst's Comment

Proceeds will fund exploration and development of the Bayhorse silver mine, and the Pegasus porphyry copper project, in the U.S. The Bayhorse mine is a historic silver producer, with a nearby mill, eliminating the need for the high upfront capital required to build new infrastructure, often a major challenge for miners. The mine hosts an independently verified NI 43-101 compliant inferred resource of 6.3 Moz of silver at an average grade of 673 g/t, which is exceptionally high compared with most silver mines, which typically operate below 200 g/t.

Management expects an operating permit in early 2027, with production potentially restarting within the same year. Initial output is planned at 100 tonnes per day, with potential annual production of ~500,000 oz of silver, implying ~$50M in revenue at the current silver spot price of $80/oz. We note that BHS is trading at 0.5x forward revenue, significantly below the 3.7x average of junior silver producers.

Bulk sample marks key de-risking step toward potential production

FRC Analyst's Comment

BHS has collected a 25-ton bulk sample from its Bayhorse silver mine in Oregon, to test how material performs under real mining and processing conditions. The program is aimed at de-risking the project for potential production, by simulating mining, milling, and flotation.

What we will be watching from this program are recovery rates, concentrate grades, and whether the metallurgy supports consistent, scalable processing. If results are positive, they would significantly strengthen the case for restarting mining. Management expects an operating permit in early 2027, allowing production to restart within the year. Initial production is planned at 100 tpd, with potential annual output of ~500,000 oz of silver, implying ~$22M revenue at $35/oz, and ~$48M at $75/oz silver (spot price: $79/oz). We note that BHS is trading at 1.5x forward revenue, significantly below the 3.7x average of junior silver producers.

Company Announcement

Preparing to re-start production at its Bayhorse silver mine in Idaho

FRC Analyst's Comment

After a five-year break, we will soon resume coverage on BHS. The company owns two assets: the Bayhorse silver mine in Oregon, and the Pegasus copper-silver project in Idaho. The Bayhorse mine is a historic silver producer, which is an advantage because past-producing mines are generally easier to develop than completely new sites.

One of the biggest advantages is that BHS owns a nearby mill that can be used for processing, meaning there is no need for the high upfront cost of building one; a challenge most miners face. The mine has an independently verified inferred resource of 6.3 Moz of silver at an average grade of 673 g/t, which is considered ultra-high grade (most silver mines are under 200 g/t). Higher grades usually mean the potential for higher production at lower cost. While the resource is modest, at today’s silver prices, the contained silver is worth around US$522M before extraction or processing costs. BHS’s market cap is just US$28M, meaning its shares trade at US$4/oz of silver, well below the US$7–$10/oz typical for comparable companies. The company is also exploring untested targets on its property, which could expand the mineable silver on the site. Our upcoming report will provide a detailed analysis, and a fair value estimate.
