Austral Gold Limited, alongside its affiliated companies, is actively engaged in the discovery and extraction of gold and silver deposits. The firm wholly owns the Guanaco/Amancaya gold and silver mine, located southeast of Antofagasta in Northern Chile. Its extensive assets also include full ownership of both the Pingüino project in Santa Cruz and the Casposo mine in San Juan, Argentina. Additionally, Austral Gold holds a 26.46% interest in the Rawhide mine in Nevada, United States, manages a portfolio of exploration projects across Chile's Paleocene Belt, and possesses an interest in the Mercur project in Utah, United States. Incorporated in 1996 and based in Sydney, Australia, the company was formerly known as Diamond Rose NL before adopting the name Austral Gold Limited in November 2006. Austral Gold Limited operates as a subsidiary of IFISA.
