Hut 8 is one of our holdings for the Stock Pickers University Challenge Fall 2026, entered by the Mount Royal University Student Investment Fund Group 4. The company is shifting from bitcoin mining to an energy infrastructure platform, and its AI data centre leases now total 949 MW of contracted capacity worth an expected $26.6 billion over the base terms. Q2 2026 revenue rose about 81% year over year. The key risks are execution on large construction projects and swings in digital asset values, which helped drive a $177 million net loss in the quarter.
