So most recently, Russia announced they are recommending Russian companies to stop exporting fertilizer. This is a significant development as Russia supplies roughly 13% of the global share of fertilizer. If this goes through, it will cut the supply of fertilizer significantly and increase the price. That bodes well for non-Russia fertilizer producers, such as Nutrien Ltd. Which is one of the largest producers of fertilizer in the world. Nutrien is based out Saskatchewan Canada.
