Global equity markets continued to retreat last week, and were down 1.1% on average (down 1.8% in the prior week), amid recessionary fears induced by high interest rates.

Valuations of gold producers were down 4% last week (down 1% in the prior week); base metal producers were down 8% (up 4% in the prior week).

The global MCAP of cryptos is US$987B, down 7% MoM, and 57% YoY.

Currently, there are 3,372 retail cannabis stores in Canada, an increase of 14 stores WoW including 16 in Quebec, six in Saskatchewan, and one each in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland. There were 10 closures in Ontario, and one in Alberta. After four weeks of no growth in store-count, we were pleased to see growth last week.
