Business Description
Gran Colombia Gold operates two mines (Segovia and Marmato) in north-central Colombia. We expect the company to produce a record high 235 Koz (thousand ounces) of gold in 2019.

I’m certainly not a geologist, but the just released PEA for Marmato appears to be rather underwhelming, any comments?

Hi John, thank you for the question. Please see our update report dated November 18, 2019, titled “Spinning Out Marmato / On Track to Set Records in 2019”, under the “Company Reports’ section for our views on the latest PEA.
Generally, we were pleased with the PEA as our models had estimated an AT-NPV at 5% of $203 million, and an AT-NPV at 10% (our base -case) of $75 million, based on $1,300 per oz gold, initial CAPEX of $250 million, and a 20 year mine life. These estimates were in line with the actual study results, which showed AT-NPV at 5% of $207 million, an AT-NPV at 10% of $89 million, initial CAPEX of $269 million, and a 19 year mine life. Note that the PEA only used 2.35 Moz contained gold of a total measured and indicated resource of 2.9 Moz and inferred resource of 4.4 Moz.
Looks RIO is an all-time low. Your thoughts on ” BUY” this stock on the short term? Any reason that you might know, why it’s been moving sideways for a while at this price?
Thanks/
